PROBATING AN ESTATE IN MEXICO

Settling an Estate in Mexico (Probate) follows the same process required to settle an Estate elsewhere in North America. The steps vary depending on whether the deceased prepared a Will or died without one (Ab Intestate).

 

Here is a concise summary of the process. Once we receive more details in relation to your request, we can provide you a detailed estimate of the fees and expenses required to settle this Estate.

Regardless of the process, before submitting the Probate to the Notary or the Court, the following documents must be provided. If you do not have these documents, we can help you obtain them:

Once the entire Probate is completed, whether by Notary or Court process, then the property is transferred to the heirs by Notarized Deed and Registered at the Public Registry.
